Rabies
Systems Affected
Rabies affects the Central Nervous System. During the time of incubation -after the bite and before symptoms show- the virus is traveling along the nerves towards the brain. Rabies causes inflamation of the brain and the spinal chord, and can lead to Encephalopathy and Death. Encephalopathy is any type of disease that affects the brains structure or function. This could and will affect all other systems in the body because the nervous system maintains all of the systems.
